OpenNMS Usage (Technical Presentation)

The presentation will outline the global structure of this network and the management architecture we have implemented. It is based on the active polling of service by the central management platform as well as on a distributed structure of SNMP agents located at most of our remote locations for remotely monitoring these locations and providing a local view of the network. A second point of interest is the integration of appliances with poor SNMP capabilities by SNMP proxy agents running on a central log server.
