OpenNMS User Conference 2009: 2009/03/14

First of all, we would like to thank all participants, presenters and last but not least the OpenNMS Group and Tarus Balog for a successful event. Even with all the work that we (well, most and foremost Simona Bott) put into preparing the event, venue and all the stuff around it, we all did really enjoy meeting with other users and implementors, and off course many of the well known developers of OpenNMS. With this having been the first User Conference, we were happy to receive responses and feedbacks about how well the participants liked the event. As of this time, the plans for a repetition next year are all but completed, but chances are looking good.

Anyway, for now we have collected the slides and video footage of the conference on March 14th. Even if you have not been able to make it to this year's conference, we are confident you will find useful information in the presentations that were held. And maybe you can make it here next year and be part of the event.

The OpenNMS User Conference Europe 2009 is a "first" in many respects. It's the first meeting purely aimed at the user community. It's the first OpenNMS Project Event in Europe. It's the first time we combine a marvelous training session with real-life show cases and the unbelievably unique opportunity to have a drink with the people behind the scenes.

This conference will consist mainly of presentations demonstrating how OpenNMS can be used to solve complex, real world problems. It will focus on both new and advanced features of OpenNMS, and will benefit most those people already somewhat familiar with the applications, although people of all skill levels are welcome.
